Cook delicious meals and stay warm on your OP15 2025 with the propane gas system! This guide ensures safe setup and operation of your propane tanks for the stove and Truma Combi heater, keeping your off-road camping cozy and secure.
Setting Up Your Gas System
- Install Gas Cylinder: Securely place the propane cylinder in the designated holder under the drawbar. Connect the regulator and pigtail to the quick-connect fitting.
- Propane Valve: Open the valve slowly to allow gas flow, ensuring it’s fully functional.
- Connecting to Kitchen: Attach the quick-connect to the 4-burner gas stove in the kitchen unit.
- Operating Gas Stove: Push and hold the ignition dial for 10-15 seconds to light the burner, then adjust the flame as needed.
- Storing in Transit or Storage: Turn off the valve and disconnect the cylinder after use. Store the hose neatly and keep the cylinder upright.
- Propane (LP) / CO Detector: Located in the interior, test it monthly by pressing the test button to ensure it’s working.
Staying Safe
- After Use: Always turn off the propane valve to prevent leaks. Store the cylinder outside the camper during storage.
- LP/CO Detector: Alerts you to propane or carbon monoxide—evacuate and ventilate if it sounds.
- Warnings: Avoid open flames inside while using gas. Keep a window or vent open during operation. If you smell gas, turn off the valve, ventilate, and avoid sparks.
Quick Troubleshooting
- Stove or Heater Won’t Ignite? Check the propane level, hold the dial longer (10-15 seconds), and ensure the valve is open. Clear debris from the burner or vent.
- Low Flame or Heat? Verify the propane supply and check for kinks in the hose.
