OP15 Gas System Guide

Cook delicious meals and stay warm on your OP15 with the propane gas system!

Cook delicious meals and stay warm on your OP15 with the propane gas system! This guide ensures safe setup and operation of your 2x20-lb propane tanks for the stove and Truma Combi heater, keeping your off-road camping cozy and secure.

Setting Up Your Gas System

  • Tank Installation: Securely place the 2x20-lb propane tanks in the designated holder under the drawbar. Connect the regulator and pigtail to the quick-connect fitting.
  • Connections: Attach the quick-connect to the kitchen’s 4-burner gas stove and the Truma Combi heater/hot water system.
  • Operating the Stove: Push and hold the ignition dial on the stove for 10-15 seconds to allow gas flow, then release after the burners alight. Adjust the flame as needed.
  • Operating the Heater: Turn on the Truma Combi via its control panel, set the thermostat to your desired temperature, and wait for the burner to ignite.

Staying Safe

  • After Use: Turn off the propane valve at the tank after cooking or heating to prevent leaks. Stow the pigtail hose neatly.
  • LP/CO Detector: Located in the footwell, this device alerts you to propane or carbon monoxide. Test it monthly by pressing the test button.
  • Warnings: Never use open flames inside while the gas system is active. Always keep a window or vent open during propane use to ensure proper ventilation. If you smell gas (a rotten egg odor), turn off the valve, ventilate, and step outside immediately—avoid sparks or flames.

Quick Troubleshooting

  • Stove or Heater Won’t Ignite? Check the propane level (refill if below 20%), hold the ignition dial longer (10-15 seconds), and ensure the tank valve is fully open. Clear any debris from the burner or vent.
  • Low Flame or Heat? Verify the propane supply, check for kinks in the hose, and adjust the thermostat or stove dial.
