Time to head home? Follow these steps to pack down your OP15 safely and efficiently. Proper pack-down protects your camper and keeps it ready for your next adventure!
Pre-Pack-Down Checks
- Stow all personal items securely inside the OP15.
- Close all windows, vents, and the awning to prevent damage.
- Secure the beds, table, and any loose cushions to avoid shifting during travel.
Step-by-Step Pack-Down
Step 1: Pack Down the Interior
- Ensure everyone has exited the camper, then fold up the main bed mattress and close the entry door.
- Tip: Organize items neatly to prevent damage on the road.
Step 2: Lower the Roof
- Pull out the securing pins for the front and rear lifting mechanisms to release the roof.
- Lower the interior roof lift bars (rear first, then front) to bring the roof down. Slide the securing pins back in to lock the mechanism.
Step 3: Fold Away the Bed Section
- Release the latch clamps and pins on the rear end wall panel, then lower it using the handle.
- Carefully lift the rear bed panel to the vertical position and secure the two rear bed panel securing latches.
- Caution: Have a helper hold the panel to prevent it from shifting or falling.
Step 4: Fold Side Panels
- Fold the right side panel inward to 0 degrees, then the left side panel, rotating the spring bolt to secure each.
Step 5: Lower Back Panel
- Lower the back panel from the roof position and secure the rear panel locks with the push-buttons.
Step 6: Secure Spare Tire Bracket
- Fold the spare tire bracket up and secure with the red lever handle and triangle pin.
- Screw in the black spare tire securing bolts fully into the holes.
Step 7: Raise Stabilizer Legs
- Use the winder to wind up each of the four stabilizer legs until they are fully retracted. Push the blue handle inward to lock them at 0 degrees.
Step 8: Level and Hitch
- Adjust the tongue jack wheel to level horizontally, then hitch to your tow vehicle if unhitched.
- Disengage the e-brake after hitching.
Quick Pack-Down Checklist
- Pack down the interior.
- Lower the roof.
- Fold away the bed section.
- Fold side panels.
- Lower the back panel.
- Secure spare tire bracket.
- Raise stabilizer legs.
- Level and hitch.
Time Estimate: 15-20 minutes with practice.
