This article is available to all OP15 owners. For more information on your camper's features, refer to the full user manual available at [https://www.opuscamper.us/user-manuals/](https://www.opuscamper.us/user-manuals/).

## Before you get started

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up the main structure of your 2025 OP15 camper, based on the official user manual. It covers unhitching, leveling, and expanding the trailer. For details on auxiliary systems like the kitchen, awning, electrical, gas, water, heater, or air conditioning, refer to the respective sections in your manual (e.g., exterior kitchen on pages 12-15, electrical on pages 18-22). Always prioritize safety: ensure the trailer is on stable, level ground, and use helpers if needed for heavy components.

Watch related setup videos for visual demonstrations (scan the QR code in the manual or visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joBPqaXiQB0). Note that videos may show slight variations for different models, but they provide helpful details on hitching, kitchen setup, and electrical systems.

## Unhitch & Level

1. Position your OP15 in the desired location and engage the handbrake.
2. Raise or lower the tongue jack wheel to level the trailer lengthwise.
3. Use the built-in level on the tongue of the trailer to confirm it's level.
4. Remove all items from the cargo rack.

## Release Securing Latches

1. Disconnect the four roof securing latches.
2. Use your thumb to push in the release pin on each latch.
3. Lift the handle to fully release the latch from the hook.

## Lower the Tires

1. Remove the pin from the right side of the tire carrier holder.
2. Pull the large securing pin out of the trailer arm.
3. Remove the D-pin from the latch with the red handle.
4. Release the latch with the red handle to unlock the tire.
5. Fold down one spare tire at a time, using the gas struts to assist.
6. Repeat the process for the other tire.

## Swing Jerry Cans to Side

1. Remove the securing pin and unlatch both sides of the Jerry Cans.
2. Pull the securing spring to release the cages from the travel position.
3. Hook the Jerry Can through the latch to secure it during setup.

## Extend the Rear

1. Use the push-buttons to open the rear panel securing locks, then lift the back panel upwards to the roof position.
2. Using one hand (or a helper) to hold the roof panel up, pull and rotate the spring bolt that secures the side panel until it is in the vertical position. This allows the side panels to swing outwards.
3. Open the left side panel fully through 90 degrees, ensuring it meets the corner groove of the roof panel to achieve a full seal. Repeat with the right side panel.
4. Holding the bed panel securely, release the two rear bed panel securing latches and fold down the bed panel.
5. Carefully lower the rear bed panel into the horizontal position.
6. Use the handle to lift the rear end wall panel into place.
7. Slide the two locking pins into place, then secure them with the latch clamps.

## Extend the Roof

1. Turn on the power using the control panel located inside your OP15.
2. Ensure all four exterior latches are properly released.
3. Locate the switch labeled "Roof" on the left side of your entry door.
4. Press and hold the top of the button until the roof is fully extended.

**Dead Battery - Roof Backup Power:** If your main batteries are dead, use the dedicated roof battery located in the main battery compartment. Flip the switch there to power the roof mechanism for opening or closing.

## Stabilizer Legs

1. Fold down each stabilizer leg using two hands: one to pull out the blue handle and the other to support the weight of the leg as it moves into the vertical position. This prevents damage to the locking pins.
2. Use the included corner steady winder (or a 3/4" hex socket attachment on a cordless drill/driver) to wind down each corner steady leg until it touches the ground.
3. Adjust each corner as needed based on the terrain to fully level the OP15.

Once set up, proceed to configure other features like the awning (manual page 11), exterior kitchen (pages 12-15), or water systems (pages 31-34). If you encounter issues, contact your dealer or Opus Camper USA at 925.215.7315 or info@opuscamper.us. Enjoy your adventures!
